This coming Monday... John will post a lovely re-invention of an Armenian song titled Oh Beautiful (Ov Sirun Sirun) a song John worked on with Megerdich Mikayelian - an extraordinary classical guitarist from Lebanon. The following is Megerdich's description of the adventure: "The song 'Ov Sirun Sirun' was arranged by me for solo guitar in 2008. During my visit to the United States, I had the pleasure of meeting John Reneaud, a jazz musician. We decided to work together on a project. Then, I selected Ov Sirun Sirun to arrange the song for a jazz version. The arrangement became a work of art. This work contains a beautiful mix of classical guitar and jazz." -Megerdich
John's thoughts on the song, "For me, it was a lot of fun to work with this amazing musician (Megerdich) in Ed's Barber's Basement Recording Studio along with some of the fantastic musicians of LA's Catatonic fame. The Catatonic guys are always brilliant." - Reneaud
